Check out this awesome video

I came across this video today that Robyn (My Pink Stamper) had posted on her site yesterday from our church's website ( .  What an encouraging story about how we can make a big difference in the lives of other people!  It has such a great message I wanted to share it with others.
Hope you enjoy!

Just checking in...

Hey there!  Some of you know how much I adore Stampin' Up! projects.  You really need to check out this blog.  Her name is Chat, and she is a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and her projects are to die for!  Anyhow, today she is having a giveaway!!  Her color combos are perfection and her cards are just beautiful.  She inspires me to step out of my own comfort zone.
If you have a minute, go on over and check her out!

It's the Halloween Carnival tonight at Gage's school.  Stay tuned for some cute pics of him in his costume.  So cute!

Conference weekend!

Toay is October 1st and this weekend is General Conference for our church.  I love being able to watch it with my family.  Keeping Gage entertained is a little bit of work, but he's learning.  I love hearing the uplifting talks and advice they give us for our time here on earth.
The weather's getting cooler, the leaves are beginning to change, and it's just a great feeling in the air!  I love fall.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Many of you know I'm always entering contest on blogs for prizes.  A year or so ago, I won a darling apron from My Pink Stamper (Thanks again Robyn!).  Yesterday, I got an e-mail from the fabulous Jennifer McGuire informing me that I had won a $25.00 gift certificate to Studio Calico.  If you're not familiar with them, you ought to check them out.  They sell scrapbooking kits and papercrafting products.  Suh-weet!  Can't wait to go shopping on their site today!
Thanks again Jennifer and Studio Calico.  You ladies made my day!

I love Hero Arts!

If you've never heard of them...where have you been?  If you have heard of them, you already know how awesome their stamps, inks, papers, etc., are.  Hero Arts is AMAZING in the papercrafting industry, and have been one of my favorite companies since I started playing with paper.  If you're interested in finding out more about their fabulous products, click on their new blinkie on my sidebar!  I'll bet you'll fall in love with them too!  All of their products are made in the U.S.A. so that should tell you what great quality they are.

Anyhow, just wanted to share a little goodness with you today.  Have a fabulous weekend!

Can It Really Be Over?

I'm feeling kind of blue today as I realize that school starts in just over a week and a half.  I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by.  I know it's because we've traveled so much this summer, but I still want to do so many things!  Gage and I traveled to St. George with my Mom, nephew Nate, and my neice Lindsey, then the next day went on to Arizona to see my Mika and little sister Becky.!!  Phoenix was 116 degrees.  Never, ever, again will I visit Arizona in July thru September.  I don't know how people do it.  I didn't find one thing pleasurable about it.  Even my sister's pool, which is usually wonderful, was at 92 degrees!!  The kids didn't seem to mind it, but I'm not cut out for that kind of heat.  I am very grateful that I had the chance to visit with my sis, and Mika, but I don't know how they survive that heat.

It was a whirlwind trip, and really went by too fast.  Too many miles, in too short of a time for my liking.  Mom and Nate left the day after we got back home, and missed my birthday by one day.  Not that I needed any fanfare; it just would have been nice to spend a quite day with them here.

I've got to get Gage to the dentist and pediatrician in the next coming week.  We're set with school shopping, as I buy clothes throughout the year, so I don't have to rush to get that done.  I'm feeling a little sad that he'll be in school all day, but I'm putting on a brave face for him.  I'll have lots of time to get all of my projects finished, i.e., my craft room, paint the guest bathroom, paint Gage's room, and so on.

Hope you all had a great summer!  I'll be checking in soon with some new pics!

Really...? A whole year...?

Oh my goodness!  I sat down to try and fix my blog and get it going tonight, and I just noticed the date of my last post.  July 15, 2010!!  What a coincidence!  I had no idea that much time had gone by.  Just in the last 2 months, I've been gone more than I've been home, but really, a whole year has gone by?  In the last 30 days, Gage and I flew to St. George to see Mika and Becky and Steve.  Came home for a few days, and then Brian, Gage and I drove to Wisconsin to see the fam, then Chrissy and Emma came for Mike and Autumn's wedding.  I feel like my feet haven't touched the ground, but it's all been good.  Spending time with family is really what it's all about!!  One more trip the end of the month, and then it'll be time for school again.  Holy cow!

I'm getting a studio downstairs for me to work on my habit, I mean hobby!  Going through all of my stash, makes me wonder if I have a hoarding problem.  Really...I still have stamps, ink, paper, etc., still in the sacks from different craft stores!  I can't wait to get my room set up so I can get going again.  I had to break down and BUY a card at the store for someone.  YIKES!  I hate that.

Anywho, off to bed know.  Finally a quiet weekend at home and I'm sure we'll fill up every minute!
